The Torrington Company, founded in 1866 at Torrington, Connecticut is the manufacturer of the widest range of bearings in USA. Today Torrington manufacturers bearings, precision metal components and automotive steering column universal joints.  Torrington is part of Ingersoll-Rand worldwide which manufacturers industrial equipment and machinery and is listed in the Fortune 500 directory of the largest US Industrial corporations.

Torrington’s merger with FAFNIR Bearings in 1985 strengthned its leadership position as a broad line supplier to the world’s industries. Over 60 years ago, FAFNIR introduced the first externally self-aligning Housed Units and Wide Inner Ring Bearings.

Incorporated in 1965, NRB pioneered the manufacture of Needle Roller Bearings in India with technology from Nadella, France.  Today, NRB manufacturers the largest range of bearings in India, producing Needle, Spherical, Clylindrical and Tapered Roller Bearings and Ball Bearings.  Thus, NRB meets the bearing requirements of Indian Industry in virtually every sector: whether it is automotives, machine tools, textile machinery, heavy or light engineering industry.

NRB TORRINGTON LIMITED.. a joint venture between NRB BEARINGS LIMITED and THE TORRINGTON COMPANY.. has been set up, with a modern plant at Waluj, to manufacture FAFNIR Wide Inner Ring Bearings and Housed Units.
